haha I get these letters at least 10 times a year, no joke. I always get them mixed up with another company, so I always seem to get suckered into opening them up...then immediately rolling my eyes and tossing them into the trash!

I can't believe this company (obviously) makes money from people like this. You'd think that with domains being so cheap these days, they'd find it hard to do this, but they clearly find suckers.

I haven't tried with D7 yet but I expect my D6 script will work just by changing the variables at the top of the file.

If you try it and have trouble let me know -- I'll try and test it with D7 myself when I get a chance.

I don't own any android devices other than my G1, which has a keyboard, but have you seen this page on the connectbot wiki?

I'm using the HTC Legend. I haven't yet tried it over VPN since it seems almost impossible to get PPTP to work over my operators network. Any tips regarding keyboard shortcuts on connectbot?

"Only wimps use tape backup: real men just upload their important stuff on ftp, and let the rest of the world mirror it ;) "

On a more serious note, using tarballs (tarbombs) for backups makes me a sad panda.

I'm using cyanogen 5.0.7-DS at the moment. I should probably make a post about it as it's quite nice. I followed the instructions here to do it.

That's cool. The advantage to using a script like mine would be if you accidentally delete something you'd still have the backup of it from the previous day. After setting up my script someone told me that rsnapshot (available via aptitude) does almost the same thing and is easy to set up, so it might be worth having a look at that if you're interested.
